How to file
The settlement administrator has been emailing class members with a claim number that pre-fills the device information, so check the inbox of whatever address you had registered with Apple around the purchase. Payment options include PayPal, Venmo, ACH transfer, or a physical check.
If you never got an email, you can still file — but have your documentation ready. Readers have reported needing serial numbers for covered phones, which is awkward if you traded the device in long ago. An old invoice or an AppleCare agreement usually has the serial, so dig through your email before you start the form. The whole thing takes a few minutes once you have the paperwork.
Don’t confuse it with the other Siri settlement
This is the second Siri payout in two years, and they are easy to mix up. The earlier case, Lopez v. Apple, was a $95 million privacy settlement over Siri recordings triggered by accident. Its claim deadline passed on July 2, 2025, and payments went out in January 2026. If you missed that one, it is over.
This new settlement is about advertising, not eavesdropping: Apple promoted Siri capabilities it had not delivered. Different case, different website, different deadline — and this time the window is still open.
If you bought a covered phone in that ten-month window, the expected value of ten minutes with the claim form is somewhere between $25 and $95. File before December 21.
