Democrats Win the House and Senate in a 2026 Midterm Rout

Democrats flipped seven Senate seats and dozens of House seats on November 3, taking both chambers in one midterm for the first time since 2006. Voters cited prices, tariffs, corruption and the war with Iran, and 40 of 41 local data center measures went against the buildout.
